Our philosophy

After our 5 core values, underpinning all our coaching is our philosophy which outlines the way we coach and deliver our sessions. Our philosophy is based on years of experience on delivering sessions in order to maximise development potential.

The Vision

Our main vision is to “positively impact as many individuals as possible,” via our holistic coaching methods. We want as many people as possible to experience the JCR way, because we truly believe we can develop people and not just players. Via our coaching, we look to instil confidence and allow players to succeed.

From humble beginnings, we set our goals high and are looking to expand our reach out of Staffordshire to more areas. Following this, we will look to expand to a nationwide company with the idea on day we will become an international company. Throughout this, we look to add more knowledge individuals to our team, helping to achieve the vision.

We set our slogan as BE BOLD! PUSH LIMITS! and we know our vision is nothing short of this.

The Philosophy

Within our training we focus on 4 key aspects of player development, to ensure we are not only developing young players but young individuals who can thrive in every environment they apply themselves to. All of our coaches undergo training to ensure everyone is reading from the same book in terms of individual player development.

Our holistic approach to developing players ensures our players not only develop as footballers but also great individuals. Within our training, as much as there is a heavy focus on developing the player technically, the style we coach allows us to achieve positive outcomes in the other areas. We adopt a player centred discovery approach, rather than a prescription model. By adopting this philosophy it allows individual discovery for the player, allowing them to work out how to do things for themselves, discovery their own path to individual development.

We are heavy on the positive aspect, of praising when the player does the correct skills on the pitch as this way helps to aid development much more. The idea of picking up on the bits they do wrong, leads to a player becoming disheartened because you are always picking up the negatives. Once you pick up the positives, the player then understands what they need to do and how to replicate it next time.
